The care industry is fragmented and siloed. It has been built as an outsource solution that offers limited choices around how people care for loved ones and have care experiences.

In building Proxwell we wanted to create a different choice. A new story of care delivery that would empower families and change lives. A story so compelling that it would get told afterwards to others.
To accomplish this, we moved beyond understanding current care choices to put our focus on how patients and their families are having and reacting to care experiences.
The mission was clear
To not just develop a better version of the same kind of care delivery but rather develop and build something transformative, a patient-centric different kind of care management choice.
It began by identifying the unexpressed needs families face within the current forms of care delivery. And we found many. Many deeply rooted unexpressed patient, provider and family needs that often leave each of them feeling out of control or helpless. Some of them include:
Loss of control
Experiencing anxiety, Fear, Isolation, loneliness and Guilt
Family distress, indecisiveness, or friction
Time pressure or experiencing an overly stretched work-life balance
Feelings of being unseen, unheard, or unsupported
Feelings of being a burden, unhelpful or not sure how to contribute
Hopelessness
Proxwell has been built to solve for all of these. It does so by allowing real time peer to peer collaboration and communication between patients, families and providers. With Proxwell, each can take their place in contributing to the care experience of a loved one. The natural anxiety about "what needs" to happen and who is in charge is replaced with a real time view of "what is" happening and who is providing the care.
